At My Life’s Work, a leader’s ability to engage in his/her work and with his/her direct reports is at the cornerstone of our leadership coaching practice.
While coaching may generally address:
- areas of both skill competency as well as skill development related to the leader’s specific work responsibilities,
- interpersonal relationships that are important to his/her credibility and effectiveness, and
- natural style and everyday behaviors and their fit within the organization’s culture,
we place particular emphasis in our work on:
- emotional intelligence,
- written/oral communication skills,
- inclusive management,
- change management and/or,
- performance management and individual development planning.
Our work with leaders spans many different organizational environments and roles within an organization. We have particular interest and expertise coaching:
- Human resource professionals who are charged with building the systems and programs that support overall workforce achievement and engagement
- High-achieving working moms who seek unparalleled success and satisfaction in their roles at the office and at home. In 2008, My Life’s Work in partnership with MLP Partners launched a group-coaching program for working moms entitled Working MAMA. You can also check out an August 8, 2011 article (A New Game Plan) in the Washington Post Express about Mimi’s career coaching work.
| I had the pleasure of working with Mimi for a span of 10 coaching sessions across the second half of 2008. During that time, Mimi helped me to root cause a number of the challenges that I was facing in my role and devise creative strategies for surmounting or working around these challenges. Mimi is a phenomenal professional of tremendous honesty and integrity who has a gift for helping even seasoned leaders navigate professional obstacles. Her understanding of personal motivations and the intricacies of corporate environments is unmatched. I would highly recommend her to business leaders who are looking for that extra “boost” to help them succeed.
